He doesn’t sleep anymore; not really because every time he closes his eyes he’s haunted by memories. Every time he closes his eyes he knows somewhere, SOMEONE is losing the person they love most in this world and he can’t do a thing to stop it; just like he couldn’t save Babs.
it’s hard to sleep when you’re haunted by memories
He sits on his rooftop, staring out into sky of his city. He’s turning into BRUCE, he knows it with the way he’s shut everyone out and pulled himself into work 24/7; but he doesn’t CARE either. Her voice rings through his ears mind a shattered dream and it captivates him. He’s probably crazy but at least he can hear her again.

she’s been WATCHING him for the past half hour, silent and gaze never leaving his form. he’s been still, staring seemingly into nothing while perched upon the rooftop, but she knows better. he’s thinking about something, and thinking too deeply at that. a bad move when you’re out on patrol, or investigating.
she knows that better than anyone.
“Dick–”
came her voice from behind. would he be able to completely hear her? she knows her voice fades in an out to others, but she had such a strong connection to the man. if anyone could hear her, it would be him.
